One of the largest in Russia car tire productions will be established in the Ulyanovsk region

The agreement on realization of the investment project has been signed the 12th of April, 2013 by Sergey Morozov, Governor of the Ulyanovsk region, Dmitry Ryabov, General Director of OJSC “Ulyanovsk region Development Corporation”, Kunitoshi Takeda, Vice-President of Bridgestone Corporation and Akira Murakoshi, Senior Vice -President of Mitsubishi Corporation. The document was signed in the presence of Mikhail Babich, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Volga Federal District.

The company Bridgestone Corporation together with its strategic partner Mitsubishi Corporation will build the first plant on car tire production in Russia and the CIS.

“It will be one of the largest plants in the territory of the region. The total volume of investments in production creation will make up 12.5 billion rubles. Approximately 800 working places will be created, planned for the second half of 2018. Construction of the plant will begin this year. The start of production is planned for 2016”, - commented the Governor Sergey Morozov.

The new production will be located in the territory of the industrial park – industrial zone Zavolzhye with the area over 80 Ha. The new plant will produce approximately 12,000 units a day by the second half of 2018 as planned.

“It’s not the first investment project in the territory of Ulyanovsk region, but this project is especially important for us, because the status of the partners can be a business card of the investment climate of the region and will contribute to attraction of other large companies. We attach a great importance and attention to this project and I am sure that the Ulyanovsk region will fulfill all its obligations before the partners”, - emphasized Mikhail Babich.

“We started our negotiations with the company in 2011 and during this time the great work has been done and the great analysis has been conducted. We are planning to sign a land sales-purchase agreement by the middle of June. By the end of July we are going to complete all the necessary procedures and to start construction work. We will provide a very serious system of tax incentives and subsidies to the company, bring engineering infrastructure and supply it in the time agreed with the company. And, of course, we guarantee all our support at all stages of project realization”
